Mode Switch: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Apply parking brake. Place gearshift lever in "N" position. Remove mode switch cover to access mode switch located on side of transmission. See Figure . Remove shift lever nut and disconnect shift lever from mode switch.
- Remove bolts and heat protector from torque converter housing for access to wiring and mode switch. Remove air cleaner assembly. Disconnect mode switch harness connector. Remove clips for mode switch wiring. Remove mode switch retaining bolts and mode switch.
