Shift Solenoids
The PCM controls transmission shifting by delivering an output signal to 1-2/3-4 and 2-3 shift solenoids. Shift solenoids are operated in accordance with gear position. See SHIFT SOLENOID OPERATION table. Shift solenoids are located on main valve body. See Figure .

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
