- Disconnect electrical connector from brakelight switch. Brakelight switch is located near brake pedal.
- Using a DVOM, ensure continuity is present between terminals on brakelight switch only when brake pedal is depressed.
- If continuity is not as specified, ensure brake pedal is properly adjusted so brakelight switch can obtain proper travel for switch operation. If brakelight switch travel is okay, replace brakelight switch.
