Diagnostic Aids
An open or short in injector driver circuit, will cause a DTC P0204 to set and a misfire due to inoperative injector. This type of DTC will indicate which cylinder is inoperative. Long and short term fuel trims being excessively excessively high or low are a good indication that an injector is faulty.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
