Transfer Case Halves: Reassembly

- Apply liquid gasket to rear case mating surface. Place transfer case in 4H range. Turn select rod counterclockwise so that select block projection "A" may enter into 2WD-4WD shift block. See Fig 1 .
- Cut-away of select rod head "B" should align with the rear case hole's stopper "C". See Fig 2 . After mating transfer case halves, install transfer case-to-rear case bolts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- To complete reassembly, reverse disassembly procedure. Stake rear companion flange nut in 2 places, and front companion flange nut in one place.
