1996 Isuzu Oasis SSECTION Preliminary Procedure
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Ensure brakes do not drag. Turn ignition switch to ON position and ensure ABS indicator light comes on. If ABS indicator light does not come on, go to appropriate flow chart. See ABS SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FLOW CHARTSΒ .
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect ABS Tester (07HAJ-SG0010B) to Orange 6-pin ABS test connector, located under glove box. Put transmission in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T).
  3. Start engine and release parking brake. Place mode selector to "1" position. Push START TEST button. See Fig 1. TEST IN PROGRESS light should come on. ABS indicator light should not come on when TEST IN PROGRESS light is on. If ABS indicator light comes on, confirm DTC and perform appropriate self-diagnostic flow chart. If tester lights do not illuminate, ABS tester is faulty.
    CAUTION: DO NOT move mode selector switch while TEST IN PROGRESS light is on. ABS tester could be damaged.
