Service Precautions
1992 Infiniti M30 2D ConvertibleSECTION Service Precautions
Observe the following precautions when working with air bag systems:
- When working around steering column components, and before any repairs are performed, disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEMΒ . Failure to do this could result in accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury.
- Always ensure radio is in OFF position before disconnecting battery. This will prevent damage to radio microprocessor.
- Before straightening any damage to body, or before performing electrical arc welding, disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEMΒ .
- NEVER allow any electrical source near inflator on back of air bag module.
- When carrying a live air bag module, trim cover should be pointed away from your body to minimize injury in case of accidental deployment.
- Never apply grease to SRS connectors.
