Transmission Control Module (TCM): Removal

2024 Hyundai Kona Limited, 4WDSECTION Removal
  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the diagnostic tool when replacing with a new TCM.

  2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the TCM connectors (A).

  4. Remove the TCM bracket assembly (A) after removing the bolts and nut.

    Tightening torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the TCM (A) from the bracket after removing the bolts

    Tightening torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
