The ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor) is used when having a child safety seat fixiated and becomes activated when a seatbelt webbing is fully loaded. When the ALR is activated, the PODS-G ECU recognizes a condition of a child safety seat and computes relevant algorithm. To that end, the ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor) signal can be considered an auxiliary sensor to the PODS-G ECU regarding the child safety seat.

When the ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor) sets a DTC, the PODS-G ECU cannot recognize a passenger.
