  • Monitor the wheel speed sensor signal
  1. Open or short circuit of wire harness
  2. Poor connector connection between wheel speed sensor and wire harness
  3. Moisture enters the connector of the wheel speed sensor and the wire harness
  4. Open or short circuit of Wheel speed sensor circuit
  5. Faulty Wheel speed sensor
  6. Faulty ESP (ESC)
Threshold Value
  • A failure is detected when the sensor signal current is continuously out of 4 mAΒ±10% ~ 60 mAΒ±10% for more than 140 milliseconds
  • A failure is detected when the leakage current of wheel speed sensor is above specific current longer than 140 milliseconds
MIL
  • Only one wheel failure

    : ABS/ESC/RBS/DBC/AVH warning lamps are activated

  • More than two wheels failure

    : ABS/EBD/ESC/RBS/DBC/AVH warning lamps are activated

  • One or Two wheels failure (Left Front and Rear or Right Front and Rear): EPB warning lamp is not activated
  • Front/Rear All Side, All Side wheels failure

    : EPB warning lamp is activated

Reset condition
  • Return to normal sensor signal current
