  1. IG "OFF".
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • The main cause of this code is that improper CAN signal from EPS system is detected.
    • Check DTCs in EPS system. If there is a code in EPS system, Repair according to DTC diagnostic guide of EPS system.

      * In a case of replacing the EPS ECU, operate "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" by GDS in EPS system.
