Steering Angle Sensor Calibration (Vehicle Equipped EPS)

- Line up wheels like Figure.
- Perform the wheel alignment.
- Set the steering wheel so that the wheels point straight ahead.
- Go ahead and Go back the vehicle 2~3 times without holding steering wheel.
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Go in Elec. Power Steering system.
- Perform ASP calibration. (Fig 1)
- Check the condition of "SAS 0 SET" by operating the vehicle. (turn right and left at least 1 time)
- Is "ASP Calibration" completed normally?
YES
- Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good steering angle sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace steering angle sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
* In a case of replacing the Steering Angle Sensor, operate "ASP Calibration" by GDS.
- Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
