Component Inspection

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE, FWDSECTION Component Inspection
  1. IG "OFF".
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: * In a case of replacing HECU, operate following functions
      1. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C1261 ) - ESC (ESP) only
      2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 ) - ESC (ESP) only
