Repair Procedures: Removal

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE, FWDSECTION Removal
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the liftgate trim (A).

    (Refer to TAIL GATE TRIM . )

  3. Remove the liftgate latch assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

  4. Loosen the PCU (Power Closing Unit) mounting nuts.

  5. Disconnect the power liftgate latch connector (A) and PCU connector (B).

  6. Remove the power liftgate latch & PCU assembly (A).
