Repair Procedures: Removal
2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE, FWDSECTION Removal
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the liftgate trim (A).
(Refer to TAIL GATE TRIM . )
- Remove the liftgate latch assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
- Loosen the PCU (Power Closing Unit) mounting nuts.
- Disconnect the power liftgate latch connector (A) and PCU connector (B).
- Remove the power liftgate latch & PCU assembly (A).
