  • This code detects a continuous short to a voltage higher than 4.5V in either the signal circuit or the MAPS sensor
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Short in Signal Circuit
  3. Open in Ground Circuit
  4. Faulty MAPS
  5. Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • No TPS Active Fault Present
  • Engine Running Time longer than 10sec.
  • Engine Speed lower than 2500rpm
  • Throttle Position less than 30%
Case 2
  • No TPS Active Fault Present
  • Engine Running Time longer than 10sec.
  • Engine Speed higher than 2500rpm
  • Throttle Position less than 40%
Threshold value
  • MAP Signal greater than 4.5V
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous (More than 2.5 seconds failure for every 5 seconds test)
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
