C-CAN Communication line inspection

  • Check short to battery in CAN communication line 
    1. Ignition OFF.
    2. Connect SCC Module, SAS connector.
    3. Ignition ON
    4. Measure voltage between C-CAN High terminal of SCC Module connector and chassis ground.
    5. Measure voltage between C-CAN Low terminal of SCC Module connector and chassis ground.

      Specification:  below 4V

  • Check short to ground in CAN communication line 
    1. IG KEY OFF
    2. Disconnect SCC Module, SAS connector.
    3. Measure resistance between C-CAN High terminal of SCC Module connector and chassis ground.
    4. Measure resistance between C-CAN Low terminal of SCC Module connector and chassis ground.

      Specification:  Infinity Ω

  • Check Open in CAN communication line 
    1. Ignition OFF
    2. Disconnect SCC Module, SAS connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of SAS harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of SCC Module harness connector.
    4. Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of SAS harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of SCC Module harness connector.

      Specification:  below 1Ω

    5. Is the measured value within specification?

      YES 

      • Check Each Module connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

      NO
