  • Signal Monitoring
  1. Incorrect calibration
  2. Improper installation of steering angle sensor
  3. Faulty steering angle sensor
Enable Conditions
  • During straight driving, If the steering wheel angle is larger than 55 degree
  • When the steering wheel angle is larger than Β±780 degrees
  • When the difference between estimated angle and measured angle of the SAS sensor is lager than 50deg/s, if the fault condition exists uninterrupted for 1.5sec.
  • In case that diagnostic signal fault of SAS was happened for more than 100ms within normal voltage condition
Fail Safe
  • Inhibit the ESC (ESP) control and allow the ABS/EBD control
  • The ESC (ESP) warning lamp is activated
