  1. IG "OFF"
  2. IG "ON"
  3. After connecting GDS, check DTC on the GDS.
  4. Using GDS, Erase the DTCs.
  5. Operate each sensor's calibration again.
  6. IG "OFF" and then after about 10 seconds, IG "ON"
  7. Using a GDS, Check DTC present.
  8. Is the same DTC shown?

    YESΒ 

    Substitute with a known-good HECU/each sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU/each sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.

    In a case of replacing HECU, operate each sensor's calibration by scantool, including the steering angle sensor's calibration.

    In a case of replacing the sensor, operate the sensor's calibration by scantool.

    NOΒ 

    This fault may be intermittently caused by poor connection in the HEC connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
