2011 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS, 3.5 G, AWDSECTION Component Inspection

  1. IG KEY 'OFF'.
  2. Disassemble Fuel Level Sender 'A'.
  3. Measure resistance between signal terminal and ground terminal of Fuel Level Sensor 'A' with moving the float. (Component side)

    Specification :  Variation (4 ~ 70 Ω) with moving the float.

  4. Is resistance within the specification?

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good component and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace it and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
