Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring.
  1. Open/short in the force sensor circuit.
  2. Faulty force sensor(inside of EPB ASS'Y).
  3. Faulty EPB ECU(inside of EPB ASS'Y).
Threshold value
  • When the supply voltage(5V) is out of the normal range.
  • When the output signal is below 0.1V or above 4.9V.
  • When the signal of the force sensor is abnormal.
Fail-Safe
  • The EPB functions are inhibited.
