2003 Hyundai XG350 LSECTION Component Inspection
- Check PCSV for leakage.
- Disconnect the hose leading from the PCSV to the intake manifold at PCSV.
- Apply a vacuum at the nipple and verify that the PCSV holds vacuum.
- Does a leak exist?
YES
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
NO
- Go to Β 2 "Check CCV for leakage" as below.
- Check CCV for leakage.
- Disconnect the hose leading from the CCV to Canister at CCV.
- Visually Check any tear of the hose leading from the CCV to Canister.
- When the CCV operates, apply a vacuum at the nipple and verify that the CCV holds vacuum.
- Does a leak exist?
YES
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
NO
- Go to Β 3 "Check Canister for leakage" as necessary.
- Check Canister for leakage.
- Disconnect the hose leading from the CCV to Canister at Canister.
- When the other nipples are plugged, apply a vacuum at the vent nipple and verify that the Canister holds vacuum.
- Does a leak exist?
YES
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
NO
- Go to Β 4 "Check fuel tank for leakage" as below.
- Check fuel tank for leakage.
- Check fuel tank for crack or leakage.
- Does a leak exist?
YES
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation.
- If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
