Idle Position Switch (Sonata 2.4L)

2003 Hyundai Sonata GLS, StandardSECTION Idle Position Switch (Sonata 2.4L)
NOTE: Idle position switch is an integral part of the Throttle Position (TP) sensor.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect TP sensor 3-pin connector. Check for continuity between TP sensor terminals No. 1 (Orange/Black wire) and No. 3 (Blue wire). Continuity should be present when throttle is in idle position. Continuity should not be present when throttle is not in idle position. If continuity is not as specified, ensure accelerator and cruise control cables are correctly adjusted. If cable adjustment is okay, replace TP sensor. See ENGINE PERFORMANCE in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL. Repair as necessary.
