  1. Check that battery terminals are not loose or corroded. Check fusible links and fuses for continuity.
  2. Visually check drive belt for excessive wear, frayed cords etc. If any defect has been found, replace the drive belt.
  3. Check that wiring is in good condition. Check that there is no abnormal noise from generator while engine is running.
  4. Warm engine and then turn it OFF. Turn off all accessories. Turn ignition ON. Check that charge warning light is ON. Start engine. Check that the light goes OFF. If charge warning light does not go OFF, see CHECKING STATOR POWER SOURCE CIRCUITΒ  .
