Power Door Lock Actuator

1998 Hyundai Tiburon Base, StandardSECTION Power Door Lock Actuator
NOTE: On Elantra and Tiburon, power door lock control unit is built into power door lock actuator. Testing for these components are not available from manufacturer.

Disconnect power door lock actuator wiring harness. Use jumper wires to connect positive battery voltage to actuator terminal No. 1 and negative battery voltage to actuator terminal No. 3. See Fig 1. Actuator switch should move to unlock position. Reverse jumper wires at actuator terminals, and ensure actuator switch moves to lock position. Replace actuator if it does not test as specified.
