Key Lock Solenoid

  1. Disconnect key lock solenoid connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between key lock solenoid terminals. Replace key lock solenoid if resistance is not 12.5-16.5 ohms.
  2. To check key lock solenoid operation, connect battery voltage across key lock solenoid terminals. When battery voltage is applied, a "clicking" sound should be heard to indicate solenoid operation. Replace key lock solenoid if operation is not as specified.
