Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

1991 Hyundai Sonata V6-3.0LSECTION Service and Repair

To replace the Air Flow Sensor, proceed as follows:
Removal:
1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the OFF position, and disconnect the battery.

2. Remove the air flow sensor connector, on the air filter housing lid.

3. Release the clips holding the lid to the air filter housing.
4. Remove the lid with the air flow sensor attached.
5. Locate and remove the attachment bolts (to the lid) and remove the air flow sensor.
Installation:
6. Reattach the air flow sensor to the air filter housing lid.
7. Install the lid on the air filter housing.
8. Reconnect the air flow sensor connector (and the battery if removed).
