Idle Switch:





To test the Idle Switch, located on the throttle body, proceed as follows.

Trottle Position Sensor (TPS) Connector Location:




Idle Switch Test Hook-up:





1. Disconnect the TPS (throttle position sensor) connector.
2. Check for continuity between terminal 1 and the body ground.
Terminal 1: Idle Switch

3. Depress the accelerator off the idle position and check for continuity, there should be none (infinite ohm). Release the throttle to the idle position and test for continuity again, there should be continuity (0 ohm).
