1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system and discharge refrigerant.
2. Disconnect heater hoses, then using tube remover 09977-33600 or equivalent remove suction hose and liquid tube.
3. Remove front and rear console assembly, then both side covers.
4. Remove glove box, center crash pad cover, center crash pad and cassette assembly.
5. Remove lower crash pad, console mounting bracket and center support bracket.
6. Remove left and righthand rear heating duct assembly and rear heating joint duct.
7. Remove control assembly, then remove heater assembly.
8. Remove heater core or evaporator from heater assembly, Fig. 8.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
