Diagnostic procedure

  • 1. Brake booster leaks: Check the leakage from the following parts, Brake Booster Test and replace it if necessary.

    NOTE: 

    • Time that the idling stop operates shortens because it becomes impossible to maintain airtight of the negative pressure line when a small leakage is in the following parts.
    • The following symptoms appear when there is a leakage in following parts. (Small leakage: Idle stop time is short) (Large leakage: Idle stop does not operate)
    • Check valve (built into the vacuum line)
    • Vacuum hose, pipe
    • Vacuum tube (between the brake booster and the brake booster pressure sensor)
    • Brake booster
    • Rod seal or O-ring, or secondary cup of master cylinder
    • Brake booster pressure sensor
  • 2. If equipped, Check the cold storage evaporator installation - Go to: Evaporator Core - Removal and Installation (1234yf) .
  • 3. Troubleshoot the auto idle stop system - Go to: Auto Idle Stop System Symptom Troubleshooting - Auto idle stop system does not operate .
