DTC C1800-87
DTC C1800-87 : Tire Pressure Sensor Signal Reception Error
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
- Check for aftermarket electrical device (s) (such as an inverter, cell phone charger, CB radio, etc) interfering with the signal from the tire pressure sensors when you turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- If DTC C1801-87, C1802-87, C1803-87, or C1804-87 is also set, troubleshoot those DTCs first .

DTC (TPMS)
- Wheel check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Check all four wheels to make sure they are the TPMS type with the tire pressure sensor.
Is each wheel a TPMS type with a tire pressure sensor mounted on the vehicle?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Install a TPMS type wheel, and memorize the tire pressure sensor ID. Drive the vehicle above 15 mph (24 km/h) continuously for 40 seconds, or memorize the sensor ID with the HDS .
- TPMS control unit check
-1. Test-drive the vehicle.
-2. Check and note the parameter (s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit Vehicle Speed Is the vehicle speed indicated?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Go to step 3.
- DTC check
-1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then to the ON mode.
-3. Wait about 5 seconds.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC U0029-00 F-CAN Malfunction (Bus-Off) Is DTC U0029-00 indicated?
YES
Go to the DTC U0029-00 troubleshooting .
NO
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the keyless access/TPMS control unit connectors. If they are OK, replace the keyless access/TPMS control unit .
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then to the ON mode.
-2. Do the INITIATOR OPERATION CHECK in the FUNCTIONAL TESTS with the HDS.
Initiator Operation Check
NOTE: If NG is shown, turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, rotate the tire 1/4 turn, then turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and try again. If NG is still displayed, repeat this procedure until OK is shown.
Is OK indicated within one full turn of the tire?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
NO
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the keyless access/TPMS control unit connectors. If they are OK, replace the keyless access/TPMS control unit .
