Audio Remote Switch Test
2009 Honda S2000 BaseSECTION Audio Remote Switch Test
- Remove the instrument panel (see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 6P connector from the audio remote switch (see AUDIO REMOTE SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 and No. 6 in each switch position according to the table. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the audio remote switch.RESISTANCE CHART
Position Resistance (No button pressed) About 10 kΩ. VOL. UP (+) About 263 Ω VOL. DOWN (-) About 512 Ω CH About 1.1 kΩ MODE About 2.5 kΩ - Reconnect audio remote switch 6P connector.
- Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the illumination bulb(s) or the audio remote switch.
- With the MUTE switch ON, check for continuity between terminals No. 2 (+) and No. 1 (-).
There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the audio remote switch.
