Front Seat Belt
2007 Honda Ridgeline RTSSECTION #Front Seat Belt Replacement
- Slide the front seat fully forward.
- Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the audio presets.
- Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.
- Pull the lower anchor cover (A) back, and remove the lower anchor bolt (B).
- Remove these items:
- Front door sill trim (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS )
- Rear door sill trim (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS )
- Remove the B-pillar lower trim (see B-PILLAR TRIM ).
- Remove the upper anchor cover (A), and remove the upper anchor bolt (B).
- Disconnect the seat belt tensioner 2P connector (A). Remove the upper retractor mounting bolt (B), then remove the front seat belt (C) and retractor (D).
- If necessary, remove the front seat belt protector (E).
- Remove the B-pillar upper trim (see B-PILLAR TRIM ).
- Remove the shoulder anchor adjuster (A).
- Install the seat belt in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the anchor bolts before reinstallation.
- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions (see INSPECTIONΒ ).
- Assemble the washers, collars, and bushings on the upper and lower anchor bolts as shown.
- If the seat belt tensioner has been deployed, replace the seat belt protector with a new one.
- Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt.
- Make sure the seat belt tensioner connector is plugged in properly.
- Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the audio presets.
- Set the clock (on vehicles without navigation).
- Do the power window control unit reset procedure (see RESETTING THE POWER WINDOW CONTROL UNIT ).
