Voice Control Switch Test

2006 Honda Ridgeline RTLSECTION Voice Control Switch Test
  1. Remove the steering wheel (see STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL ).
  2. Remove the voice control switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
  3. Measure the resistance between the terminals No. 1 and No. 2 in each switch position according to the table.

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Position Resistance
    OFF About 10 kΩ
    TALK About 2.9 kΩ
    BACK About 680 Ω
  4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the voice control switch.
  5. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position as shown.

  6. If the continuity check is not as specified, replace the switch.
