Fuel Tank Replacement
2006 Honda Element EX, 2.4 YH1, StandardSECTION Fuel Tank Replacement
- Drain the fuel tank (see FUEL TANK DRAININGΒ ).
- Reinstall the fuel tank unit.
- Raise the vehicle, and support it with jackstands.
- Disconnect the filler neck, the fuel vapor hose (A), and hoses (B). Slide back the clamps, then twist the hoses as you pull to avoid damaging them.
- Place a jack or other support under the tank (C).
- Remove the strap bolts and the straps (D).
- Remove the fuel tank.
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
