Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before performing repairs or service.

1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
2. Connect the HDS to the date link connector (DLC), and ground the SCS.
3. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
4. Remove the left front door sill trim and left kick panel.




5. Disconnect the 6P connector from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.




6. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
7. If the continuity checks do not agree with the table, replace the steering lock.
8. After reconnecting the battery, enter the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
9. Do the power window control unit reset procedure.
