Starter Switch Signal: Insight

2001 Honda CR-V LX, 2.0 RD2, MDLASECTION Insight
  1. Depress clutch pedal. Turn ignition switch to START position. Backprobing, measure voltage between PCM connector "A" (32-pin connector) terminal No. 24 (Blue/Orange wire) and PCM connector "B" (25-pin connector) terminal No. 20 (Brown/Black wire). See Figure and Figure . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, problem is intermittent. Starter switch signal is okay at this time.
  2. Inspect No. 9 (7.5-amp) fuse in underdash fuse/relay box. If fuse is okay, repair open in Blue/Orange wire between underdash fuse/relay box and PCM connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If fuse is not okay, repair short in Blue/Orange wire between underdash fuse/relay box, PGM-FI main relay and/or PCM connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Replace fuse.
