Removal & Installation: Condenser: Removal
1983 Honda Prelude AutomaticSECTION Removal
- Disconnect battery negative cable. Discharge refrigerant using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. On Prelude, remove the front grille. Disconnect discharge flexible hose and liquid line tube from condenser inlet and outlet fittings.
- Cap open fittings immediately to keep moisture and dirt from entering system. Make sure not to damage the condenser fins and tubes. On Accord, remove the front skirt. See Figure. Remove condenser retaining bolts then let condenser down from under car. On Prelude, remove radiator upper frame retaining bolts. Move upper frame slightly and remove condenser by pulling it up.
