Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation
1993 Geo Prizm L4-1600cc 1.6L DOHCSECTION Description and Operation
The park/neutral position (PNP) switch is mounted to the transaxle. Whenever the manual selector lever is placed in either the "P" (Park) or "N" (Neutral) position, the PNP switch closes and provides a ground to the cruise control module (CCM). The CCM disengages cruise control system operation as soon as this ground signal is sensed.
