1. Remove negative battery cable.

TP Sensor:






2. Disconnect throttle position sensor (TPS) electrical connector.

3. Loosen TPS attaching screws.

Feeler Gauge Installation:






4. Insert feeler gage between throttle stop screw and throttle lever.

TP Sensor Resistance Specifications:




TP Sensor Resistance Specifications:






5. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the terminals of the TPS according to specification in images above.

6. Rotate the TPS if necessary to adjust.

7. Tighten the TPS mounting screws.

8. Recheck the TPS continuity.

9. Reconnect TPS electrical connector.
