Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Four clips and air cleaner (ACL) cover.
3. IAT sensor electrical connector.
^ Push IAT sensor out from inside ACL assembly.
Install or Connect
^ Push IAT sensor into air cleaner assembly.
1. IAT sensor electrical connector.
2. Air cleaner cover, secure with four clips.
3. Negative (-) battery cable.
Tighten
^ Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb.ft).
IAT Sensor:
Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Four clips and air cleaner (ACL) cover.
3. IAT sensor electrical connector.
^ Push IAT sensor out from inside ACL assembly.
Install or Connect
^ Push IAT sensor into air cleaner assembly.
1. IAT sensor electrical connector.
2. Air cleaner cover, secure with four clips.
3. Negative (-) battery cable.
Tighten
^ Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb.ft).
