Ignition Switch/Steering Lock: Installation

  1. Position steering shaft hole in center of hole in steering column. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on. Install steering lock assembly on steering column.

  2. Turn ignition to LOCK position and remove ignition key. Align hub on ignition switch with steering shaft hole. Rotate steering shaft to ensure steering shaft is locked.
  3. Install new retaining bolts in steering lock assembly. Tighten retaining bolts until head breaks off bolt. Turn ignition on. Ensure steering shaft rotates smoothly. Install steering column.
