Repair Procedures: Installation

2021 Genesis GV80 2.5T Advanced, AWDSECTION Installation
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    WARNING:
    • Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
  2. Place a passenger airbag on the crash pad and tighten the passenger airbag mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque:Β 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)

  3. Install the main crash pad assembly.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Connect the passenger airbag connector.

  5. Reconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  6. After installing the passenger airbag, confirm proper system operation.
    NOTE:
    • Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should turn on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
