Repair Procedures: Installation
2021 Genesis GV80 2.5T Advanced, AWDSECTION Installation
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
- Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Tighten the curtain airbag mounting bolts.
Bolts: 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
Nuts: 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Never twist the airbag module when installing it. If the module is twisted, the airbag module may operate abnormally.
- Connect the curtain airbag connector.
- Install the roof trim assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "ROOF TRIM ASSEMBLY ")
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- After installing the curtain airbag (CAB), confirm proper system operation.NOTE:
- Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should turn on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
