DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

2021 Genesis GV80 2.5T Advanced, AWDSECTION DTC Detecting Condition
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Internal timer performance monitoring after ECM power off (if late)
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Poor battery condition
  3. Faulty ECM
Case 2
  • Internal timer performance monitoring after ECM power off (if fast)
Enable Condition Case 1
  • The preheating condition was satisfied in the previous trip (coolant temperature higher than 56°C)
  • Intake temperature deviation of higher than 0°C (difference between the temperature when the previous ignition is off and the temperature when the ignition is on)
  • Coolant temperature deviation higher than 40°C (difference between the temperature when the previous ignition is OFF and the temperature when the ignition is ON)
  • Difference between the coolant temperature and the ambient temperature is over 30°C (difference between the coolant temperature when the previous ignition is OFF and the outside temperature when the ignition is ON)
Case 2
  • The preheating condition was satisfied in the previous trip (coolant temperature higher than 56°C)
  • Intake temperature deviation of less than 40°C (difference between the temperature when the previous ignition is off and the temperature when the ignition is on)
  • Coolant temperature deviation less than 3.8 - 15°C (difference between the temperature when the previous ignition is OFF and the temperature when the switch is ON, depending on the cooling water temperature when the ignition is OFF)
  • Difference between the coolant temperature and the ambient temperature is over 30°C (difference between the coolant temperature when the previous ignition is OFF and the outside temperature when the ignition is ON)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Engine OFF time less than 0 - 900 seconds (depending on the amount of coolant temperature change)
Case 2
  • Engine OFF time less than 7000 - 84000 seconds (depending on the amount of coolant temperature change)
Diagnostic Time
  • 15 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
RENDER: 1.0x
