DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring the deviation of short term fuel trim
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Intake/Exhaust or purge system air leakage
  3. Faulty PCV system
  4. Faulty oxygen sensor, air flow sensor or throttle position sensor
  5. Fuel related system failure
Enable Condition
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is greater than 56Β°C (132.8Β°F)
  • Fuel trim active:
    • No relevant failure (Upstream O2 sensor, Injector valve, ETC in limp home state)
    • Measured Tip temperature is greater than 720Β°C (1328Β°F)
    • Integrated air flow is between 20 and 600g (depending on air temperature)
  • Engine speed is faster than 512 RPM
  • Barometric pressure is greater than 75 kPa
Threshold Value
  • Average of short term fuel trim is less than or equal to -30%
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
