The ICU sends out switch signals to a variety of components in a form of CAN data and receives control signals from the BCM. Once signals are received, the ICU will operation the system by controlling the IPS. The ICU also controls the PWM constant voltage (lamp control/lamp damage prevention) while being equipped with an auto-cut relay that shuts off black current and a mode switch that cuts permanent power supplied during the long-term parking. To optimize the wiring, the ICU is linked to each module through CAN communication lines, exchanging data with it.
