Monitoring DTC Status
- Connect GDS to "DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC)".
- IG key "ON", Engine "OFF".
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" with GDS.
- Monitor the diagnostic trouble code and present of the trouble code.
- Erase the DTC and operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
- Is the DTC output again?
YESΒ
- Perform
"Actuation Test" β "Stop Lamp Left/Right".
β If it is abnormal, check for the intermittent short-to-ground in Stop Lamp Left* circuit caused by corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
β If it is abnormal, go to "WIRING INSPECTIONΒ " procedure.
NOΒ
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in Stop Lamp Left*'s connector or SJB*'s connector, or SJB*'s memory was not cleared after repair.
β Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
β Repair or replace as necessary, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
- Perform
"Actuation Test" β "Stop Lamp Left/Right".
