Removal Procedure
2016 GMC Acadia SLT, FWDSECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
- Remove the high pressure pump shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement .
- Relieve the low side fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Fuel Pressure Relief (High Side) .
- Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting from the fuel feed pipe (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Loosen the fuel feed pipe fitting to the high pressure fuel pump.
- Remove the fuel feed pipe bolts (4) from the cylinder heads.
- Remove the fuel feed pipe from the engine and high pressure fuel pump. Discard the pipe.
