Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (4.3L) , Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, or 6.0L) , Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (6.6L) 
  2. Remove the auxiliary generator, if equipped. Refer to Auxiliary Generator Replacement
  3. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (4.3L) , Power Steering Pump Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L) , Power Steering Pump Replacement (LGH)
  4. Remove the idler pulley
1 Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Nuts (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
50 N.m (37 lb ft)
2 Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Bolts (Qty: 2)
Tighten 
50 N.m (37 lb ft)
3 Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket
