Installation Procedure

2013 GMC RV Cutaway 4.8L Eng VIN ASECTION Installation Procedure
  1. If replacing the accumulator, add the specified amount of PAG oil directly into the accumulator. Refer to Refrigerant System SpecificationsΒ .
  2. Fig 1: Accumulator Components

  3. Install the accumulator (1).
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the screw (4) to the accumulator retaining bracket (2) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Connect the low pressure sensor electrical connector (1).

  9. Install new sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal ReplacementΒ .
  10. Install the evaporator outlet pipe.
  11. Install the evaporator outlet pipe retaining nut (1) to the accumulator and tighten to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
  12. Install the compressor suction hose.
  13. Install the compressor suction hose retaining nut (2) to the accumulator and tighten to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
  14. Install the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement .
  15. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and RechargingΒ .
  16. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-AΒ  detector.
